Perfect ! for the extremely hot days we have been experiencing lately !

I went dairy free a year ago and kinda fell of the wagon and now I'm trying to get back on it !

I must ! have a coffee every morning, or otherwise I'm a crazy angry person ! :(

I personally think nut mylks taste better super cold, so I guess this is a good way to go dairy free and also have my coffee fix :D

Recipes

Cold brew

50gm course Ground coffee beans ( I buy freshly ground coffee beans from my local cafe)

500ml water (pureau " Australia's purest water" boxed water from Coles as it is completly free of chlorine, bacteria, fluoride &sodium)

1 x nut bag or muslin cloth

First grab a jar or Container that can be sealed, place ground coffee and water, give a stir and leave in the fridge over night.

next day, place nut bag or muslin cloth over a fine strainer and pour over coffee mixture,

you may notice the coffee has set to the bottom, dont try to pour it into the nut bag just discard or keep for coffee body scrub :D

and there you go you have your own cold brew ! I love mixing mine with a little cashew milk and lots of ice.

Cashew Milk

300g raw cashews ( soaked over night)

800ml water I buy pureau " Australia's purest water" boxed water from Coles as it is completly free of chlorine, bacteria, fluoride &sodium

once the cashews have been soaked over night, rinse and add to thermo mix or any type of blender should work, blitz on high for 5 minutes

using a nut bag or muslin cloth strain the cashew mylk, leave to strain for a few hours or if your in a rush squeeze the muslin cloth getting as much mylk out as you can.

pour into a clean container or jug with a lid and keep in fridge.
